Art Camp for Grown-ups!
Art Camp for Grown-ups! (Why should kids have all the fun?)
Every time I do a kids' class, I have adult friends and students who state that the kids' projects look fun and they want to do them.
Well, here's your chance!
One day of fun, silly, kinda wacky projects for adults to play with. One of the things we don't do much as adults is just play. Everything in our lives has to have a goal and a function and a reason for being. But we need to get back to that child within us to just have fun, with no goals or expectations. Just 90 minutes to play and be silly.
The day will be broken down into four 90 minute sessions. You can sign up for one, two, three or all four.
Session 1 - 9:00 am - 10:30 AM - "Big Mouth" art project - Make a pop-up art project of any kind of animal! Silly, goofy and a lot of fun.
Session 2 - 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM - Sculpting animals with air dry clay.
Session 3 - 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM - Make "jade" polymer clay necklaces.
Session 4 - 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM - Paint cute little ladybugs in acrylic
(See photo gallery above for samples of the projects)
All supplies will be provided, as will water and simple snacks. Students are welcome to bring their own beverages and goodies. There is a small fridge but nowhere to heat up items.
Fees:
$40 per session
Sign up for all four sessions and save $10 - $150
(This camp is for adults only. Nobody under 21 will be admitted.)
