Comic Book Summer Camp
Comic Book Workshop
Is your child an avid comic book reader and maybe has always thought about creating their own comic book? This workshop is perfect for them! For ages 8-14, this workshop will teach students about every stage of comic book creation and result in the creation of 2 pages of a comic book.
Each day, students will learn a different aspect of comic book creation and apply it to their own ideas.
Day one is focused on learning what makes a good comic book, including how to tell a story, how to approach action and how to make each page interesting. Students will write their own scripts as well as layout their pages and create their characters.
Day two will have students will layout their pages and finish their comic book!
Class size is limited so sign up early.
Please send your child with snacks, lunch and water. There will be water available at the studio and there is a fridge.
Please also dress your child for art class as we might get messy.
Dates:
June 11 & 12 from 9 am to 3 pm.
If a student wants to do more in-depth work, they are welcome to sign up for both sessions.
